Privacy policy

Peak Point Groceries Store is a grocery store at Unit 5/152 Rusden St, Armidale NSW 2350, Australia. This page explains what personal information we collect through this website, what we use it for, who else handles it, and how you can ask us to correct or delete it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

• Customer account: your name, email address and password, and, if you add them, your phone number and delivery addresses. We never see your password: it is stored by our sign-in provider as a secure hash.
• Sign in with Google or Apple: we receive your name and email address from the provider, and nothing else. We do not read your contacts, emails, files or calendar.
• Contact form: your name, email, phone number (optional) and message.
• Email updates: your email address, if you join the list in the footer.
• Product suggestions: what you write in the form, and any contact details you add.
• Cookies and visit statistics: described on our cookies page. Optional measurement tools only run if you choose “Accept all”.

Why we use it

• To create and run your account, keep you signed in, and send the emails needed to confirm your address or reset your password.
• To reply to your messages and consider your product suggestions.
• To tell you about the store, new offers and when online ordering opens, if you joined the email list. To stop, email us and we will remove you.
• To keep the website secure and working, for example by limiting repeated sign-in attempts.

We do not sell your personal information.

Who else handles it

We use a few service providers to run the website. They handle information only to provide their service to us:

• Supabase, which hosts our database and customer sign-in. Our project is in Sydney, Australia.
• Vercel, which hosts the website and our server.
• Google and Apple, if you choose to sign in with them. Their own privacy policies apply to what they hold about you.
• Google (Tag Manager and Analytics) and Microsoft (Clarity), only if you accept optional cookies. They may process information outside Australia.

We may also share information where the law requires it.

Keeping it safe, and for how long

Customer data is stored behind access controls and sent over encrypted connections. We keep your account information while your account is open. Messages and suggestions are kept until we no longer need them. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your profile and saved addresses.

Your choices

You can see and change your name, phone number, addresses, email and password in your account. To get a copy of the information we hold, to have it corrected, or to have your account and details deleted, email peakpointgroceries@gmail.com or call 0412 580 431. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, tell us and we will try to fix it. You can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes

If we change how we handle personal information we will update this page and its date.
